Maj Gen SBK Singh

Maj Gen SBK Singh did his schooling at Sainik School Tilaiya (Jharkhand). An alumnus of National Defence Academy and the Indian Military Academy, he was commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery in June 1989.
In his distinguished Military career spanning over three decades, the General officer has the distinction of tenating key command and staff appointments in Peace and Field both in the North-East as well as Jammu and Kashmir. The officer has commanded 72 Fd Regt in Op Rhino and 99 Arty Bde at Alwar and Mathura.
A ‘Silver Gunner’ of his YO’s courses, the Gen offr has excelled exceptionally in all the mandatory course of instruction. Some of his important course include LGSC(O) at School of Arty, Devlali, Tech Staff Course at IAT, Girinagar, Senior Command Course at Army War College, Mhow and Higher Def Management Curse at CDM, Secunderabad. His staff appts includes AQMG of an Inf Bde, GSO-1 at Arty Centre, Hyderabad, Col FP at HQ Eastern Command, DDG at NCC Dte NER, Shillong, Dy MD at Central Organisaiton, ECHS, New Delhi and MGGS (SD&CD), HQ Norther Command.
The Gen officer took over as DG (Resettlement) wef 01 Dec 2023. The General officer is married to Ms Mamta Singh and they have a son, Akshatt Chauhan.
